Renato is currently working as the Energy and Decarbonization Manager at Tessenderlo Group in Belgium. Previously, he worked as a Senior Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Antwerp. After working for nearly 3 years in the industry, contributing to the low-carbon energy transition at Engie Fabricom, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Centre for Nature Inspired Engineering at the University College London (UCL). He received his PhD in 2020 from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (ITQ) in the field of Sustainable Chemistry. His interests are focused on sustainable chemical and energy production, industrial decarbonization, renewable energy, and systems engineering.
